... were informed that due to the lack of rain the Danube is not deep enough for the boat to continue tonight so we went 30kms backwards & they would look at options tomorrow, apparently at the start of the week electricity demands increase & therefore more water comes into the river. So options
    1. Wait to see if river increases enough to continue tomorrow
    2. Move by bus up river then get on another boat further up & continue
    We will know tonight

... br> I must say though that there were many rotund people. If we stayed longer we would probably continue on our journey to join them. We ate out a lot, often tempted by the schnitzel but usually managing to resist the torte.
It was often very hot and there weren't many places to swim but we did discover a lake and visited the expensive but very nice thermal baths. Our days were filled with walks and tourist drives in the morning always ensuring ...

... recovering from Communist control. Anyway we spent a day in Prague. (Now Prague is not sad or neglected it has a happy, carefree fee) A lot of people call it the most beautiful city in Europe and it is certainly that. We were lucky to be camped where we could walk down to catch the ferry and tram into the city. The Vltava River is lovely. Once in town we walked over Charles Bridge (with everyone else - it was packed!) ...

... a couple of other locations used in the film, but the weather was too bad to get good photos. Bus dropped us at the edge of the old city - streets were far too narrow for buses. Took a walk through parts of the city, but no time to take it all in as we were running a bit late from the traffic. Lunch at the oldest restaurant in Europe (803AD). Room we sat it was like it was set up for a wedding reception with chair covers etc. lunch was pork schnitzel. Apparently ...

... rough in parts. Overall it is the best path that we have travelled on in this trip.

We followed the river, past industrial areas and them into agricultural areas. Corn, potatoes, wheat and kale are the popular crops. We crossed the river at a huge lock using the access road over the top. The southern path took us through a Black Forest and away from the river. We made it back to the river - reassuring as that is when ...
