      ... translation of the New Testament into German. Frederick the Wise was the one that requested Martin be taken to the castle for his own safety. The highlight of the castle is naturally the Luther Room.

      This evening a Reformation Songfest was held at St. Augustine's Church. A rousing group of Lutheran's singing hymns and sharing the Gospel was a perfect end to the day.

      ... artists live and work. The bridge is lined with galleries, cafes, and boutiques that are favorites to visitors and locals.

      The University of Erfurt was where Luther attended university. The Collegium Maius was the oldest building of the university. It was however destroyed in 1945 but has been completely rebuilt.Our city tour ended at the Martin Luther statue where we held our daily devotions.
