... brothers (who are starting a family run pot farm in Oregon with their parents; badass), volunteered to come with me to the hospital. Thank god! In my state of mind, the last thing I wanted was an unsympathetic ***** (sorry, I really couldn't believe it when she still had no mercy. I understand why she was angry, but certain situations, i.e. Medical injuries to the boyfriend you've been seeing for over a month, transcend petty fights) nagging me while I'm in pain. Also, Jack ...

We recently spent a weekend in Cali, Colombia. I have two points of discussion relating to our time there. I will discuss them separately.

Firstly, and this will come as no surprise to anyone, I have extreme special needs when it comes to dancing. Salsa is woven into the fabric of Cali and anyone who is anyone can dance. Every bar blasts salsa music and every gringo hostel offers free salsa lessons. Being gringos ...

It was a cold 20 hour bus ride from Quito to Cali. As if the air con being on full blast all night wasn't enough, at some point once we entered Colombia, the back window of the bus fell off. The air vent above my seat also got stuck, so not only was I cold, breathing in the bus fumes, but I also got wet. After a few hours, we stopped for a small break where the bus staff created a quick fix with some tape, plastic bags ...

... Tolondra salsa club and bar. We ended up dancing the night away until it closed at 1:00am from which we returned to the hostel and proceeded to eat popcorn, play guitar, and chat until 4:00 in the morning. I really enjoyed this night as it was my last night in Cali and I definitely made the best of it.
Thursday morning arrived way earlier than I wanted it to. I was worn out from the last few nights of festivities and dancing but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I ...

    ... shops all nearby.

We had been warned that parts of Cali weren't safe to walk around, even during the day. The staff at the hostal gave us a map and gave us a safe route to walk into the city centre. Unfortunately as it was Easter, most of the shops were closed giving the city a bit of a ghost town feel. Not great when you feel a bit on edge anyway! At one point we were approached by ...
