    ... this point I was an easy target. Joe, a big dude, picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and then carried me 6 blocks back to the hostel. The problem with the feet isn't just that I jumped from 3 meters high. It's that I wasn't completely prepared for the jump or how high it was so I landed strangely and right on both of my heels; onto cobblestone; with the only support for my feet being the completely worn-in 1/8inch thick slab of rubber of my flip flops.     ... exploratory walk found us a casino. Dunia had never been, now she has. I had a quick go on Roulette and won 6000 from 2000 in a couple of goes. Dunia had one go and won 5k. Not as impressive when you know the exchange rate is 1850:1.

    ... nightlife so we geared ourselves up for a night on the tiles. First stop was Route 66, an American-themed bar (no way!) and we couldn't believe how many US power ballads Diego and his friend Maria knew the words to!
