One of the stand out topics for me was how Colombians over 25 struggle to get work, positions will actually be advertised with under 25s only, and even state attractive person wanted, which is even harder for females if they fit the stereotype of young an hot, usually I guess with plastic surgery both front and rear. Another reminder of the lucky position I find myself in, the only example I could think of in Britain where they employee people based on attractiveness ...

      ... and was soon back at the Hotel Miami Inn. Same room. Same good feeling. The afternoon was spent sightseeing in the old colonial centre around the Plaza de Caycedo and avoiding drug users and dealers around the Rio Cali.
