So up with the dawn chorus or so it felt. We had to catch a bus from the nearby town of Strobl to go into Salzburg and it took almost an hour it could have been longer but Mr T(aka Roy Cropper) kept us and the bus driver on track. Salzburg is beautiful the buildings are vet symmetrical and the architecture of and inside the churches and cathedrals is amazing. Even the kids are impressed. From the gardens I wandered to the zoo which was next door to ...

... giant mural gallery with nearly every second building covered in pictures and art. Oh yes, it's a cute town ... and it knows it!

There are so many Christian & Christmas things here it's ridiculous!

After dinner, we wandered around the town for a bit, marvelling at its cuteness then hit the road again for our final drive through to Nassereith where we're staying. Arrived about 10pm & jumped into bed as soon as possible!

... and ask how my ankle is every time I walk by the front desk, and they have been great about getting me bags of ice to ice my foot. The next day we had a bus tour booked, which worked out well for my new plan to walk around less! We went to see Eagle's Nest, which is a house that belonged to Hitler in the Alps just outside of Salzburg. This is where he had his second headquarters, and the Nazi party gifted him this house for his fiftieth birthday. When the Allies ...
