... sun for tbe most part. The mountain road was predominantly downhill but there were a few 'bonus' climbs before the big drop down to Fornovo di Tara. Our breakfast was pretty marginal at the overnight place so we had a food stop at Fornovo. After that it was onto more ordinary busy roads for most of the day. There were a few cars parked and then a sign we were unsure about - did it mean no entry? Or no parking? We thought it meant the road was one way and in our direction so we continued on a bit only to find it got so narrow that the car was hardly fitting. We decided that maybe the sign had said it was a pedestrian road only. So Wendy now had to ...

... through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to get to Via Montenapoleone, Milan's upscale shopping street to droll over the designer apparel. We couldn't resist stopping for gelato which was exceptionally delicious! Just when I thought I was getting the hang of the city, we headed to the Navigli area for "apperitivo".... We were completely lost and walking in circles for 3 hours. We ended up at a subpar Italian restaurant, but were happy to be able to sit down. Desperate to actually ...
