      1777. Very Short Visit

... a bit guilty as I speed walk, looking for the city center and speed sing through my park bench concert... Luckily there is a beautiful cathedral that works well for my video clip. On the inside the cathedral is even more beautiful with paintings everywhere--even up and down the pillars. One thing I do find a bit odd, is it seems ...

      1776. A Town Named Bra

Day 294 2 hrs, 3.6 kms Of course I've got to check out a town with a name like this! I get off the train just as high school students get out for lunch break and join a crowd of them in a doner shop for a sandwich shop. Nice town to wander around in, with part of the city up on a ridge, with some castle like homes... and yes, you can buy a bra in Bra, in case you were ...

"People are quite religious here" she goes on to tell me about the religious trips she has gone ...

... out of the station across from a vast piazza, and follow a wide shady boulevard towards the river. I take a quick side trip to check out the beautiful old synagogue with the disturbing sight of a military jeep stationed in front. Sad to see that that is still needed in the 21st century. A bit farther is another place of worship that catches my attention: a Waldensian church. I guess I'd kind of forgotten about this group... I've just gotten so used ...

... A couple old fellows ask me to come play music for them... not sure they're sincere--I just smile and wave. The church is kind of interesting... squeezed between the historical buildings on the square, all the way up the facade are base-relief scuptures of various ...
