Settling in to a school night routine…with Spanish bedtimes

The boys’ school day is long – they leave at 8:50 and come in the door at 5:15, and may start to come in later with some new things starting this week (tennis, robotics). With the late lunch and significant homework (some that takes longer because of language challenges) we’ve adopted both the later Spanish dinner (9ish for us) and ...

... and headed home at 2am. It was pretty sad saying goodbye to some great people who I'm really glad to have met - and I really hope that we can stay in touch. So, that's it - I'm done!! After school today, James drove us to Coloni Sant Jordi, a pretty little port, for a bite to eat. We had intended to explore a nearby beach which was recommended by a local, but after having had quite a few days of exploring recently, we drove straight to Es Trenc beach instead. People had told me that this was their favourite beach on the island... It's definitely nice. A very long, narrow beach with nice sand and sea. However, it seemed to be having ...

And so ends our Spanish holiday..

So the last day of our holiday.. we again had breakfast downstairs at the hostel and then packed up all our bags, put on our togs, vacated our rooms and went back to the beach.

We hired more deck chairs and umbrellas and then made ourselves most at home for the day. I think the only time we left the beach was to get ice cream and George and I went for lunch at a tapas place.

      I even had a ...
