... building. The lunch was all tasty although I'm not sure fried bananas are for me, I like them raw? I had to jump into the river to clean all of the mud off of me and then started jumping and flipping from the 2nd floor of the pavilion. Traditional to my fear of sharks, as soon as I hit the water I'd race back to the riverbanks and climb out as quick as possible. I am fully aware that there are no sharks but whatever, it doesn't matter to me. I was later reminded that crocodiles ...

Heading Home

Spent the morning in the spa before our trip. Great way to start the morning before a long flight. we planned to visit the Belize zoo but had no idea what we were in for in relation to all the rain the country had experienced. Roads were terribly flooded and we ended up taking the backway through Old Belize since the main freeway was under water.

... from chill and read and drink but it was blissful. The food was great too, especially the seafood and most places did lobster dishes for less than a fiver. The only major recreational activity I did there was some snorkeling. We had intended on going on an all day snorkeling tour which included seeing sting rays, turtles and best of all sharks, unfortunately the weather put paid to that as a huge storm ...

We allowed some of them to go out into public

Well, Today we did a mixed bag of things. There was continued work on the TreeHouse, fixing the church tent, and Extreme Outhouse Makeover. Pastor Jim and I took a team of students (Tyler, Miranda, and Chelsea) out to a couple of schools to pass out Club TreeHouse ID cards and to invite them to the VBS. I have pics of all the things. Some pics I can get loaded and some I cant, it depends on Jim and Jenny's satellite. Tyler ...

Hopkins

... Hopkins, another Garifuna village. This time we can park at the back of the Kismet Inn, we can just get a view of the sea through the front about 20 metres away. The place is very friendly; children come round trying to sell food. We can use the bikes and hammocks from the inn, so it is a nice place to stay for a few days.

... and they would play partners and take other people's money. As this sounded like a great plan we headed out. Unfortunately, the other bar was closed. On the walk back to the hotel Tom bought some street food. As we approached three women with pots of food for sale he asked me to pick one. I picked two and even took a picture of Tom with the owner of Pot 2. Bad choice. Tom was pretty sick all night but by morning it had passed. <br>

... on top of the world...or at least Belize. You could see the road that divides Belize and Guatemala... I can say then, that I've been to Guatemala right??? ;) I don't. The whole day was a very powerful experience for me. That nagging feeling I get in my gut, that tells me I have "to go" returned that day. To go where??? Hard to say, but I knew that day that I would be back to Belize one day. Maybe even live there.
