Belize City, Belize dkg2002... calling out suggestions to passing females. My lesson aboard MARTA a few hours earlier had fully prepared me for seeing what was sung about put into actual practice by real live people here in Belize.
The swingbridge divides "downtown" from the more "upscale" part of town and the untrained eye might not be able to discern any differences between the two. I, however, and here to break it down for you and tell ...
... JP only needed to be told our names once, and often directed comments to one or other of us as he tried to gauge our individual interests. A true professional. And very, very entertaining. And so we arrived at the ferry to take us across the Mopan river, for the last leg of the journey to Xunantunich... but that'll have to wait until next time, cuz it's past midnight and I needs ma byooty sleep. * I admit these were not his exact words
Belize City, Belize District, Belize racinghippo... explained some intense cave spelunking that he does, often climbing through an opening just barely body size for 100 yards or so just hoping that there's an opening at the other end. Think about that. As I get older, I'm afraid that I'm developing claustrophobic tendencies (which I've never had), so I'm not sure cave exploration to that degree is something I'm ready to pursue. The degree to which we explored and climbed the cave was one that I could handle though.

... grass with her dingo like ears rotating like satellite dishes. It was the same story tonight at our jungle side camp in Belize. Zoey would be more than happy to stay in the motorhome while we walked over in the dark to sit by the pool. Paula swimming at the fresh water Blue Hole It was our first visit to the Cayo district and so far we liked what we saw. No sand flies ! Rivers, jungle ,mountains and at this ...
Belize, Belize heligypsy... time on the bus to Belize City, Rob and Emma, they chose a slightly different out to the island but it didnīt take long for us to bump into them again but this time they had acquired an American, Scott, on route. Our next two days were spent swimming, reading, relaxing, avoiding expense then blowing it all on cocktails, Lobster and Belkin (the great local beer) with Rob and Emma in the evenings. Before nose are up turned and eye brows raise to high ...
Belize City, Belize District, Belize nadiavinny... shades and all by myself on the flight just me and the pilot. Really awesome. So after a quick 20 minute flight we arrived to the island of Ambergris Caye, San Pedro. The airstrip is pure dirt and the airport is a shack. But the coolest people where there when I arrived. They took my bags and because I had to wait a few hours for my aunt and uncle. I went exploring. I was in awh. (sp) This little town with white ...
San Pedro, Arizona, Belize lizestes... by some of the women in the village. Sports camps consisted of relays including a shaving cream fight, races and skipping competitions. It was a complete success in addition to yesterday's soccer game and stella stella ola hand games. Coming back to base, we dove into the water to get refreshed after a long day Dinner was pretty much the same as lunch and we ended this day with debrief :) - Jori ...
Gales Point, Belize belize2008... before the suspension bridge where trucks and vans coming from several directions were basically forcing their way into the circle, coming inches away from each other and yelling at each other to yield. It became pretty obvious to us why insurance rates are so high in Belize and why rental cars are so expensive, they must have tons of fender benders just in San Ignacio alone. We made it through the circle and crossed the metal suspension ...
Cristo Rey, Belize boognish... why I came to the island in the first place, unsafe and therefore impossible, and c) it was messing up my hair. By that evening the wind had reached what felt like near hurricane levels, and so I made the decision to cut my losses and leave for the mainland the next morning. Right I have now run out of time, and the swines are kicking me out of the internet cafe. So my next installment will have to cover Wednesday to Friday, as well as whatever happens from now on. Hasta la vista x
