The bus from Flores to Belize City arrived late of course. It was a relatively small shuttle bus and it was crammed full of backpacks at the back. Somehow, I managed to misplace my ticket from the front entrance of my hotel to the bus. I had had it in my hand and must have dropped it when passing my bag to a gentleman on the bus. Anyhow, when asked about it my response wasn't a good one: "it`s only a ****** piece of paper". ...

... a welcome hot lunch, we were on the road to the cave tubing experience. This was like a combination of what we'd done in the morning, but floating through a different cave on a tube. It was fun, but we enjoyed the morning better - possibly because we'd done tubing before in Laos. The day started early when Amanda J. (we are back in elementary school) came to pick me up at 2:15 a.m., but prior to leaving, I found a $20 bill in my pocket, and figured that was a good sign of things to come. We picked Cathy and Betna up at Betna's house, then went to pick Sara up at her friend's house. When we arrived at #11, the lights were on, so we texted to let her know we were outside. She texted back and said she didn't think we were, because she ...

... one hell of a journey since we left Tulum that morning. We'll save the delights of the nightclub / school disco for another night!!

    Day 14: Sunday, 12th January

Two seconds after we walked into a restaurant for breakfast this morning the heavens opened. Noooooo had the rain followed us? The grey clouds up above were not factored into our sunbathing plans for the day. Once the rain stopped we wandered the metropolis that is the main street for 5 mins or so ...
