      ... it, because I will be in Colombia for three weeks. Not quite a visa run therefore. After another few minutes of discussion he finally gave me the stamp, but only with a seven day permit to be in the country. Usually German citizens get 90 days, so he really disliked me as it seems. That did not bother me too much though, as I had only planned for two nights.

      ... Monday, this time back up the highway to a village called Maya Centre . I was there to visit the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary (named for the mountain range which looks like a rooster's comb), which is up the road. I found a place to stay (5) and set about relaxing. It was very hot, too hot do much else, though I did manage to walk to the shop to buy some more food to take into the sanctuary. ...
