... none the less. We were back at our hotel by 2ish, lunch, and afternoon by the pool. We have been amazingly lucky with the weather on the whole trip. It has been warm days with blue skies the whole way. We leave here tomorrow for our final destination of the trip. Catch a ferry tomorrow to mainland France, Nice. Oh WOW. We have found heaven - think we'll stay. How absolutely gobsmackingly gorgeous can one place be??? We left Bonafacio this morning for what we thought would be a four hour drive up the east coast of the island, across a few mountains in the middle, to our next stop, L'ile Rouse, on the far west coast. Boy, it is spectacular! The drive was shorter than we thought, the roads were great, wide (!!), smooth and with little traffic. We saw a few crazy road signs - a man riding a cow ...

Cold chicken and salad for dinner. Sitting around an outside table with an American couple from Florida and 18 cyclist from Holland who had done their 200km bike ride for the day.
Walked home from jen and graham's about 1km up the pitch black road and collapse into bed.

Of course we were prepared NOT! It had been hot and sunny when we left.
It was cool, but ok until we got to the lac, 1770 metres above sea level and the breeze was not hot.
After checking out the shepherds hut, the temperature of the water and the dark clouds we decided to descend.
I was freezing in my polo shirt and shorts.
