    ... a breeze coming towards us but the flow on the Spui was not a problem. We only saw one commercial barge as we went along the others being yachts, cruisers or ferry boats. There was a lot of work going on along the bank side with diggers and lorries and tank track lorries moving earth and silt into drying out mounds. Isi said they looked like big mole hills. No doubt the diggings will be used somewhere else in the Netherlands. ...

    ... t even seen the bikes. =)

    We finally made it down to the bike area. We loaded the paniers and we had to spend some time securing them because they were not securely clamped on to the bike. We had to use bungee cords. Then, despite the fact that I had provided our height information to the bike tour operators, my bike seat on it's lowest setting was still not low enough.     ... where we stopped at a cheese factory for a quick demonstration on how to make it but mostly to promote their cheese and what goodies we could buy from their shop. Then we had time for lunch and of course souvenir shopping.

    ... my hotel had told me that I could find an ATM in this square. I was very pleased. I had been running low on cash. I found the ATM. It was out of order. Lots of people and a public holiday had obviously drained the cash supply. I went to another ATM. Same thing. I saw a Bureau de Change and whipped over there and pulled out my small stash of Aussie dollars and converted that, so I would have some for the trip to Paris tomorrow. I continued walking.     ... a really cool interactive experience and fabulously included three beers to play hair of the dog. Laurence was being a little pansy boy about drinking again... but we told him to push it back.
