And the final picture I just have to share.......Darth Vader was on vacation in Matsushima! Actually, many Japanese LOVE to dress up and this guy (or gal) had the best Vader outfit I've ever seen. .....even had the whole raspy digitized breathing. ....may the Force be with you!

Wir zwei Stadtkinder sind auf einen Berg hinauf. Jawoll. Weil da oben gibt es einen sehr schönen Kratersee, den wir unbedingt sehen wollten. Zuerst wollten wir mit dem Sky Cable (einer Seilbahn, wie wir annehmen) hinauf. Deren Bergstation ist aber ca. 3 km vom See entfernt; das ist uns zu weit, wenn man bedenkt, dass es da wohl bergauf geht. Also haben wir auf der Karten, die wir im Ryokan bekommen haben, einen Parkplatz gleich bei ...

... Nacht ist. Zaô Onsen ist ein eher kleiner Onsen-Ort, in dem es die ganze Zeit nach Schwefel riecht. Unser Ryokan war etwas einen Hügel hinauf über einige Stiegen erreichbar und das Zimmer, das der absolute Wahnsinn war, weil zweistöckig, war irgendwo ganz hinten in dem verwinkelten Haus. We headed up the mountain ranges in the west on our last excursion of the trip, toward Yamadera. The local train was packed with students. First it emptied of the younger students, and at the next stop the rest got off, giving us plenty of space. It was long ride to Yamadera, and arriving we weren't if that was it, a small place hardly worth calling a village. ...
