... which actually worked out fine – we all headed inside for drinks and hot soup and sandwiches. The mayor of Oostburg gave a speech, and by the time we were ready to start again, the clouds had started to clear. We marched to the City Hall for another ceremony and then pressed on. By this time, our feet and legs were starting to ache, and we were only halfway through.

... The farmhouse was built in 1658 and all the food was produced at the farm. There are not enough superlatives for Brugge, it's very picturesque, has genuine medieval buildings, canals, bridges, chocolate, lace and beer! Something for everyone. We did all the tourist things and walked our feet off taking many photo's of windmills, cranes, churches and bears. We climbed the belfry as in the movie, some 300+ steps and ...
