    ... to the top ...first stop Gimmelwald ...not ver high at all 4485 ft next Murren 5374 ft ...next gondola ....Birg 8783 ft ...now we're talkin....chill for a bit here and have a beer ...it's so hot up here ...so surprised, thought it would have cooled down a bit up here ...the skyline walk opens up new perspectives, the platform (which is a bit scary) is situated over a vertical precipice ...very exhilarating ....the panorama breathtaking !!! ok up some more .... next gondola ...up ...

    ... on the train for the descent into Lauterbrunnen. Then it was off to the hotel for a relax before the evening meal. Tonight is chicken curry so it should be a good meal. Last night was the ever popular pizza and rice pudding, with a chocolate fondue in the later evening. The food is great, but as always it is too easy to eat too much.
    Everyone is having a great trip and feeling weary. However, we are planning to head over to Murren tomorrow to enjoy the James Bond ...

    Awaking to a slightly better day, albeit still a damn cold one! A shower first up, and as Emma was walking back to the tent she somehow managed to tweak her neck - instant sharp pain like a pinched nerve.... Bugger. No amount of rubbing or stretching could fix it in the short term.

    After one omelette was cooked, we were onto our last gas can for the cooker - another job for today... Finishing breaky we got the tent packed and started on our way ...

    ... During the cycle I went upstairs for another free breakfast of granola and bread. But this time I remembered to bring my tokens and was able to get a cup of coffee as well. It was very relaxing to sit downstairs with all the other hostelers and drink a cup. After a short time I went back down to put my clothes into the dryer. This cycle would take close to 2 hours so I went upstairs to fill out my postcards and I would walk into town to find a post. Bryan was now getting ...

    ... up there we took photos because within a few minutes the cloud covered the view of the lake and streets below. On a clear day you can see the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau as well as two lakes. Unfortunately, the mist covered most of the view and we could only see the town below and one of the lakes. Bo spotted where we were camped too.
