After a wonderful descent with lovely views of the peaks and valleys around us, we started our ascent of the Col de Portet d’Aspet (1069m). ... we negotiated the rocky path.

However that was all put to one side as we had refreshments to celebrate our safe return from hiking the Pyranees.

In mid afternoon we visited the spa. It is one of many in the area, including Lourdes some distance away. The spa is said to have special healing powers and we thought that it might do our knees some good.
