Parc Nacional Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Mauric
... Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici.
Back to Aneto!
... the Pyrenees. Last time I had been that high was Mulhacen and it was more crowded than a tapas bar. They say height doesn't matter in mountaineering but prominence certainly does. Luckily it was a lovely day so we had a magical view of the mountains as we approached them. We filled up just before the mountain pass began then we ...

I've always liked traveling by train - I find it relaxing. So the group had about 7 hours to socialize on the way. It's really a nice group of people.
Met Stacy at the hotel and we went out for dinner across the ...
Last Day on the Bike!
Today is the first day without terrific weather. The valley is filled with fog. We're leaving from the hotel to climb the Port de Bales - the Tour passed this route yesterday. It's a beautiful scene and the fog is lifting from the valley as we ascend. At the top we're above the clouds and the valley can't be seen; stunning view.
It's cool and misty and I, of course, left my jacket in my other ...
