    ... meal and bottle of wine, which they invited us to partake in. There was a bit of a lost-in-translation situation where they thought we had to get to bed early for our 5 pm departure (a bit excessive even for us old folks) and proceeded to ply us with drinks and stories from Brazil, when in reality we had to leave at 5 am and therefore, despite our enjoyment, ended up getting <4 hours sleep. Now who is old cranky and tired ?!?! Us.... But mostly ...

    Just another day in paridise as we ventured again in Barcelona. Learned the subway (Metro) the hard way when we missed our transfer stop and went to the end of the line. Figured it was coming back but that's not how they work as the lights went out and the subway emptied and we were told to leave the car. Definitely not the same as the Powell River subway. ...
