      ... have Gaudi's masterpiece completed by 2026, 150 years after his death. Apparently, Gaudi was obsessed with building this church. He was run over by a tram when he had stepped backwards into to its path to admire his work! When we stepped inside the church, I was amazed by the size, lightness and beauty of the building...in one word, it was awesome.       ... interesteing.... we did the audio guide. it was a nice sized museum, not too crowded, not too big. i like when a muesum is just one artist so that you can really feel like you learned something. i liked picasso's early work but to quote what i said to cynthia (about the last room, which had his late work), "so ugly I don't even want to look at it."       ... hours later we were in Barcelona.

      It was very quiet at the Barcelona airport at 3 PM. I had to pick up my checked luggage (maybe a 20 minute wait) and then, since I had “nothing to declare” I walked outside to the taxi queue. No passport stamp for Spain either!! When did this happen?! It is nice not to have to wait in another long line but I’m so sad that my passport won’t reflect all of the places I’ve been!!
