    We left Montecatini with minimal sleep and slight hangovers. Florence (Firenze) was only a 30 minute drive away and we met our guide for the day at about 8am.     On a side note: we found a few stray cats at the Palace who were SUPER friendly. It turns out Italy loves cats. You can buy postcards with pictures of cats at all the major sites (which of course I did whenever I could). We even found a book about it (which I didn't buy). Italy likes cats, I like Italy! :)
