    we woke this morning (quite late) to the sound of rain hitting the windows and immediately thought that today would be an uneventful day, however the rain quickly ceased and we were on our way quickly after eating breakfast.     ... visit, and were generally not enthralled by anything. There are paintings by famous masters but we motored pass them with hardly a glance! One because they were hard to see with the crowds and two? because we had seen better elsewhere.

    To round out the day, we walked to a favourite bar, Moyo, for apericena, the practice of cocktails with yummy tidbits. It’s a wonderful custom and students, tourists and locals alike enjoy it!

    ... pizza after, can't really go wrong with all that! After lunch we tried to hurry back to the train station to get back to Florence and not waste the day. Unfortunately the whole train deal is a slow process and after all is said and done it took us about two hours to get back into town around 3:30 or 4:00. We then had to pick up our city passes for Florence so it wasn't until 4:30 we were ready to go an explore the city. The problem was most things close early on Mondays ...
