It was genius and lucky we had one on us, so we walked looking for a place for dinner drinking our wine. ... and there were people and luggage everywhere. At this point I was especially glad that my hotel was within walking distance of the station.

It was stinking hot as I wheeled my bag along the cobbled laneway and up over a bridge, glancing along the gorgeous canal as people posed for photos and drank in the unique Venice scenery. Surprisingly easy to find, in no time I was at the delightful Antico Portego B & B, my home for the next 3 nights. A family run ...
