The beer and Valium may cause a slightly hazy navigational experience while trying to catch my next flight. This will in no way cause me to actually avoid these drugs, but rather it will simply push me to do a bit of extra planning while still state-side.
I'll look up the map of the airport.
I'll work out my route from one gate to the next.
I'll look into specific landmarks to help jog my potentially foggy ...
... Well here's the story:
After having met a bunch of design students "by chance" (still don't believe in chance though ;) at a party,
[to be continued]
I reckon this trip will help me to make some awesome pictures.
It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany sofenjon... the hookers seemed to still be waiting for the American GI’s. It was raining and dreary, but soon to change when Erik’s cousin, Nadine, and boyfriend, Flo, picked us up to take us to their home town outside the big city near the Tanus Mountains. We had a wonderful visit, them taking us to a traditional German restaurant where we tasted fresh apple wine. We topped it off with a visit to their apartment. What a great way to end the trip!
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany the_stamms... attendant walking by and got her to explain the mysterious plane problem and reasons for our delay. OH!! And did I mention that the plane was pregnant!! Seriously, it was HUGE and so my overactive imagination kept imagining the plane attempting to lift itself off the ground by ejecting passengers midair in an attempt to shed some weight. At long last, we were headed towards Frankfurt. Once near the airport, we ran into an immense thunder & ...
Frankfurt, Germany dosqueen... park. It was actually such a beautiful day that day. It was 17 degrees! That is unheard of for Winter. At this time of the year it is usually -17 in Germany. I decided that this was the first day I didn't need to wear a big bulky jacket and decided to travel light. THat would have been fine... but, generally when one thing goes wrong, more things will also. Remember my pathetic dinner and ballet night? Or hamburg and getting sick? SO, they say things ...
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany sarah.... neon city glow and gave a lick of moisture to the cold tarmac. Eerie doesn't come close. It was 10.30pm, bitter cold and my only source of comfort was the new Beatles album 'Love', which I'd got piping nicely through the MP3. I also knew that in an hour Nicole would be finishing work and heading over to the station to pick up some dodgy looking pom who would eventually be found pacing up and down briskly outside the station ...
Bad Homburg, Frankfurt, Germany scottwoz... and Hans Gadamer (1900-2002, Philosopher and Founder of the concept of Philosophical Hermeneutics and Historically Affected Consciousness) conducted important works at the University of Heidelberg. Walking around the narrow cobblestone streets decked with summer flowers, one could really feel the quintessential ambience of Germany. Not to be outdone, Rüdesheim, also 1 hour by train from Frankfurt, was a cute wine and chocolate-producing town on the mighty river Rhine, which ...
Frankfurt (am Main), Germany globetrekker... you’d never do in the US, where freeways scream right over and around the centers of towns, frequently chopping up neighborhoods in the process. In Europe they stop at the edges, strictly a point-to-point sprint. You still have to wind your way through the cities, usually.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany hardiek... moved to Manchester, anyway this is boring. So, the services were great, especailly the New Year service when the fireworks were fired into the crowd, that was exciting. And then the Brits n Irish joined together to celebrate our New Year an hour after everyone else. In the snow of Germany we fought and played football. A memrable time.
