... where we had a lovely pasta meal and celebrated 39 years since we were engaged and signed up to each other for the rest of our lives. Peter experimented with dessert and had zabaglione, which is a foamy egg and sugar concoction with a lot of alcohol in it!

... are new and tall buildings everywhere, even though the sand and clay base necessitates deep foundations (like 50 metres down). Frankfurt is also prone to earthquakes so the building code is strict. The huge central train stations are incredible hubs of activity in these towns and nearly 2000 trains and 350,000 travelers go through Frankfurt station every day. ... heros. The puss in boots was a funny movie, slightly boring in parts but funny. We then watched Footloose which was good- had really random parts but it was good and finally we watched the Green Lanten. Ryan Renoylds is super hot but this movie was not. It was aight. ... local bakery for a local treat called “pig’s ear” (a fluffy heart-shaped or pig ear shaped pastry half covered in dark chocolate) and into the grocery store for a bottle of German red wine. With treats in hand we made it back to our hotel and relaxed while we waited for our travel partners. ... and Italian), we settled in for a delicious meal of salad, pasta, and wine…a nice change of pace from the cuisine we had been having. Dinner was followed by a stroll to the local grocery store, and down to the Kur Royal Day Spa to see if reservations were needed for the following day.

Beyond tired, thankful to have made it to our destination, and ready for a good night’s sleep, we headed to bed after the most harrowing travel day to date.
