... and most of the coastline was damaged. Take a look at the pictures and video to get a better idea of what it looks like today. We could get a sense that it was once a beautiful waterfront, with piers and buildings and snack stands. But that all lies in ruin today, with a sad amount of trash washing up on the shore and the small beach area we found.

The young surfers are out there doing their thing, with the mums and dads along the beach directing their kids out there competing or giving them pep talks before they head out. In the afternoon, we read and watch the sea go by. We have attended a few sessions on what there is to do in the various ports of call.

I go to a Pilates class a 4 pm. I am now able to touch my knees – note not toes – but knees – working my way down to my shins – should make that in a couple of years with any luck.

... snakes and lots of birds, including toucans, owls, hawks and parrots. We also saw lots of sloths, two deer and an agouti. One of the most fun parts was going into a domain with two baby Howler monkeys and a spider monkey with one eye. It was great because one of the Howler monkeys jumped onto my head and played with us. We had lots of fun at the Jaguar Rescue Center. We hope to go back again while we're here.
