... excited to see that they were playing "Who wants to be a millionaire?" in one of the theatres. Ted and I went along and, even though I was winning for a while, didn't ultimately snare the big prize (a Celebrity cruise T shirt).

... we stopped for the night.

We made very slow progress our first two days. We started late to wait for the morning rain to let up, we sat out downpours under bus shelters, or we prolonged our grocery or restaurant stops to wait for the rain to abate. By early afternoon on our second day, the rain was so heavy and misty that visibility was seriously limited. We had to call it a day and find a hotel room after going only 26 km.

The monkeys appeared one, two, three,
or four of them on the very top branches. They kept swinging from
one branch to another, appearing like a flash of brown mass, about
twenty feet above us. One of them was busy peeling off leaves, and
eating them as fast as he could. They stayed together in small

... we were surprised how friendly he actually was! He and Ron are now BFFs!

After dinner, we spent a little time in the casino. Dee want back to the room, while Ady, Ron and Nancy decided to do Movies Under The Skies. Red, 2 was playing. We got there a little early and saw the last 15 minutes. We were going to watch the next showing, but all of the sudden there was a rain downfall. We decided to just call it a night.

... we shouldn't miss seeing a Caribbean town in Costa Rica. So we decided to head to Puerto Viejo, a town I visited nearly seven years ago and absolutely loved.
