... has 208 stops. From 1978 to 1981 the organ was tonally and technically rebuilt giving it the sound it has today. It has 5 separate organs each with its own sound character. Áftef our walk we were treated to a 30 minute concert compliments of the cruise to experience its magnificent sound. The interior was a sight to behold. Captain Ralph Ramus had an important announcement for us last evening before our daily brief by Tony, the tour director. The Captain informed us that we had a problem ahead of us that threatened to severely disrupt our schedule. We had a coach trip around the city and then a walking tour followed by 2 hours free time. We had ...

Today was billed to be an easy day. Up at 7am for breakfast at 7.45. There are 3 organised day tours travelling inland to 3 different locations today, and those not wishing to partake stay on board and sail with the ship to Passau. I considered a couple of the tours, then decided to have an easy day and stay on board with Jeanette, Paul and Robert. Once breakfast was completed we returned to our cabins to do some washing and ...

... up this morning to try and resolve that. None of the three places we visited could help so we headed up to the Fortress Veste Oberhausen which was built in 1219 by the Passau Prince-Bishop in order to control traffic on the three rivers. Since then this place has played an important part in history. Judging by the cruise boats calling-in here nowadays it still attracts a lot of river traffic. The number of tourists ...
