    Love it here in Passau. Our last stop in Germany. Our guide who was French told us that Hitler fell in the river here as a young child and someone saved him. Pity. The old town is beautiful. They have a problem with flooding as they are on a peninsula with 3 rivers. The Danube, the Inn and the Iltz. A lot of the buildings have had to have all the plaster removed and replaced to second floor ...

    ... returning by a different route to our boat after it had moored in Linz, Austria. Our morning bus trip took us through beautiful Bohemian forest and farmland. Apparently the word, bohemian, means 'forest people' a name given to those who lived in the area in Roman times. We saw evidence of some timber-getting but most of the cleared areas were growing rape seed or pastures The fields were ablaze with dandelions ...

    ... two hours to Deggendorf where we found the ship! It is very nice. After a quick shower, went to learn about Monday's travel plans and then dinner. Ready for a good night's sleep!!

    I have some neat pictures on my phone but cannot get them onto my iPad. Will use ipad and real camera tomorrow. For now, I am heading to bed!!! Blessings to all.

    ... poles. Mark and I anxiously looking at the bike paths running alongside the rail tracks.
    Out in the countryside again; seeing solar panels, very large agriculture fields, wind farms, the church spires have changed from the modified onion dome to the brisk, no nonsense tall slim orange tiled style.
