Yesterday (Thursday) was filled with driving and we are all so sick of the bus. I am not feeling well again so I pretty much slept all day and Jordan just sat and listened to his music. We did a quick lunch stop in at Avignon which translates to the 'windy city' and boy did it live up to its name today for us!! The wind was so strong that it felt like it was picking us up. and what I would even be able to see there.

When we were planning this trip, and Dana had brought Lyon
up, as a city we should go see I said sure why not, ...

We both woke at 4am and considered making an early start for the drive to Lyon. But common sense prevailed and we woke again at 8.30 for a slower than intended getaway. We had a leisurely drive first along familiar roads in The Lot region making our way east to the autoroute, then whizzing along making quite good time.

France is such a country of contrasts and amazing diversity of geography. One minute we are winding our way around steep limestone gorge country, then ...

... are so honest and raw. And I was so engaged in his writing too, I felt like I was a part of it. I didn't sleep well this week because I felt guilty about knowing what they were doing. And feeling like I was somehow with them. It's crazy. I suppose it's a compliment to his writing really. I wanted to google Karla to see if she was really as beautiful as he described and I wanted to know what Prabarker looked like and Didier. It's not often I loose sleep over a ...
