... The city was dirty and the beach was crowded. We walked the streets and noticed the city was full of tourists shops, selling the exact same thing. Think Khan el Khalili in Cairo : trinkets galore. Garbage trinkets. I promised myself I would not buy anything and I did pretty good ( just bought a bag - I'm already running out of space!). We noticed that the merchants accepts offers for half the original price they suggest. So its sorta like "How much?" "300 Baht" "oh no ...

We've decided to change some plans and stay a day in Krabi before traveling to the Gulf of Thailand. And it was very worthwhile. We took a boat to go to Railay Beach. A beautiful beach, to get there you have to go down a path skirting the big rock wall of a beautiful mountain. We were both still quite tired from the travelling etc so we headed back to the room for an intense evening of playing monopoly and eating jammy dogers! How old are we ...

... the sea urchins. They're perched ominously on top of the reefs and make me feel like I'm going to accidentally graze one of them and get pierced with their needles. Not to mention they have red eyes which only add to their shroud of creepiness. Other than that though, snorkeling is great. Once we got to the beach we explored the area for a bit and then were served rice and curry and barbecue chicken for a late night ...

... sky train stop, but still really far away and every taxi that we speak to just laughs at us and tells us no they won't go that far. Its now 7:30 so we know that we have missed the bus. We think this is a good time to regroup and as we have not really eaten all day grab some dinner and make a plan. We find somewhere with wifi and start googling. Its an almost no win situation as we have missed the last bus and the one that leaves tomorrow would make us a day ...
