... of our latest arrivals back in Malta.

Having showered and dressed in our civvies we set off in search of a much needed beer. I was a little apprehensive, I visited Krumlov in 1993 when few had heard of the place. How had it withstood the tourist onslaught? Had it become a sort of theme park?

Actually, despite the tourists it retains its magic, a wonderful mixture of ...

Today was another relaxing day. We spent the morning touring the Cesky Krumlov Castle Tower, Museum, and Gardens. The museum was nothing too spectacular, just various pieces from the Castle to show its history. The outside of the castle had a couple of bear "pits." The enclosures had a couple of European Brown Bears, which was a symbol of one of the local nobles. The tower was a bit high up! I (Bonnie) definitely ...

We found a restaurant, Laibon, that ...

... lesson: the menu price will quote wine for say .1 of a litre, BUT the server will bring you double the amount and charge you double the price. You have to make sure you get the size you ordered. We enjoyed dinner at an Italian restaurant and took one last stroll through the town. Césky Krumlov is a picture perfect town a fairy tale image right out of a Disney movie. It's also overrun with tourists. While we enjoyed our stay here, once you've seen it, well you've seen ...

    Fairy tale Cesky Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov really is one of those fairy tale like places complete with its own castle on a hill, set on a winding river, with steeples and beautiful mountains surrounding the town. I'm sure there are many other similar little towns spread all over the Czech Republic, but I’m also sure there are none quite like Cesky Krumlov. It is absolute tourist central, and being peak season, there are bus loads of tourists crowding the streets. Probably even more so than Bruges, it feels like ...
