Running to Sokolica

A travel blog entry by mjbp on Jul 01, 2015

running from the city main square along the river is a perfect experience during the afternoon.
Then I went directly to the national park and starting from the level of Dunajec river I continued to Sokolica. That was tough. 30% of steep path.

I almost never use my phone while abroad, but the cold weather and utter lack of activity in the town left me no choice. Luckily, someone did pick up, and about 15 minutes later ...

... and torture room, but the walls and towers were only reconstructed for their historical integrity and tourist safety. You can imagine how bad an 800 year castle would look like today. Another thing to consider was that it was used, built onto, destroyed, built up again, added on to, and used by many through the centuries. It had many faces, many names, and many occupants, but one thing was for sure walking through Spiš Castle, it was ...
