    ... but unfortunately they told us in broken English they didn't go to our hotel. I didn't bother asking why not... Travelling with our bags was not good - especially on the first train. It is a 30min train uphill. It's Japan's only mountain railway - switching back and forth on tracks like a zigzag. Gora is at the end of the track.     ... to the cloudy weather the view from the top wasn't so special, but just walking along the rim of a vulcano is something well worth the trip. In the crater itself you could shoot bow & arrows, though due to the strong winds no one seemed to be tempted to try.

    All in all it was a great weekend-plus-a-day. Back in Tokyo, I thought "I'm glad that I can sleep in my own bed tonight". Hah, my OWN bed. Well, that's definitely a first! ...

    ... 2 1/2 hours of smooth travel on a comfy warm train. Once in to Tokyo, we navigate our way on a local line back out of town, this was easy and simple and needed a quick swap of trains to keep going on the same line. Knowing this was easy we went to find some lunch, oh dear the B1 of Daimaru came in handy again and we discovered some delicious salads in one counter.     ... 80 degrees and then steamed at 100 degrees. The eggs will give you good health and fertility. I couldn’t stomach a black egg with the sulphur smell in the air and yesterday’s dinner still stretching my stomach. However, I did try the black egg soft serve that actually was quite nice.
