... for once in what felt like a decade I wasn't. We walked across a bridge with padlocks on it, Maja said her friend and her boyfriend had a padlock and they wanted to attach it to the bridge. Maja insisted she should scratch her name on the side of it, and wanted to find it. After a while of rummaging and smelling of dirty 2p's we found it 3 years later. ... although we were both still in a "gastro haze" on Sunday. But the receptionist made good, we parted with the cash and our door was opened to us! (one of those key card things) Nothing of any consequence after that, went shopping at a local tiny supermarket (smaller than Lock) to get essential supplies for the long bus trip tomorrow. Laimonas Stoncius will be at Vilnius bus station tomorrow to greet us, very nice to have something meet us as we arrive in Lithuania's capital ...

... is very dense, I always like when I see senior ladies out walking by themselves, then you know it is safe and also where the real people live.
The young people are very friendly, if you ask them a question,they are very happy to answer and chat a bit, and they smile, but seems you have to be the first to do it, no problem as I love chatting with them. Some of the stores still have security guards, kind of the old thinking ...

Tuesday we decided to stay in Krakow, instead of going to Budapest, and enjoy its culture. It really is beautiful city, with so much to see and do......and it's inexpensive! We stayed a total of three nights at the hostel. It was a cool place to stay, and you can't beat the price of $10 per night. But, if you're there to sleep, it's not the place to go. There was so much music and laughter, the only quiet time ...

The centerpiece of the exhibit is a reconstructed17th century wooden synagogue at 85% scale. There are only 3 known to be left in existence of this type. Two Mass College of Art professors (non-Jewish!) have spent the last few years gathering the plans and descriptions of how the one in? looked and are building it with 17th century methods.
