... day for it, excellent weather. Notre Dame Cathedral was also awesome. Chloe loved the stained glass windows. The Louvre was a day in itself. Big queues again, but worth it. A bit difficult with the kids to begin with, but when they got more interested in it and using the audio guide it was really good.
Doesnt feel like low season, heaps of tourists around, although not many kids. ...

... There are lots of rugby players here from England and America - men & women's teams and just now a coach of Asian (Chinese I think), followed by another coach of Indians - it's feeling quite international! I think they must be doing Euro Disney (not the rugby players) as I over heard.... Tomorrow we'll head to Normandy and find a place to stay - ferry perhaps Sunday or Monday, we'll see...... Bon ...

... came to operate it and it looked quite new. He is appalled that their government does not make it compulsory that all boats should use their holding tanks. John pointed out that his was the only working station in France that we have found. Which comes first the horse or cart?

We took a chance and put the washing outside on the line putting a rain cover over the top but we had too much to put out all at once and our poles ...

... to take a tram as there was a road that could not be crossed in our way. For this we needed to purchase another ticket- annoying as we would not have needed to do this if we had not exited the barriers! With trepidation I got in the car. I was not looking forward to driving on the wrong side of the road. However, Stephen managed very well. The only problem was a tendency to want to have his body on the wrong side of the road, ...

Streets around the town are lined with stone walls and gates. In the very old parts of town houses open directly onto the streets. Our gate opens onto our front garden where there is a very large cherry tree with the remnants of a generous crop and fresh cherry preserves in the pantry.
