Oaxaca, Mexico ukulelekid... and a view and saw those strange circular formations in the sand. I am going to say space ship, I don't care what anyone else says. We then stopped off in Puertecitos for some fish tacos and a beer. We paid the 10 bux to check out the hot springs but ended up not really checking them out. We continued on and arrived in San Felipe for the evening. We stayed at the well over priced Lobster Hotel $80. March 17th. San Felipe to Palm ...

Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico katstravel... into neighborhoods NOT occupied by other cruise ship passengers. Bob loves that "local culture"...I'm over it. Today is day 30 of our vacation adventure and we realize we've practically forgotten what and where home is. Our ship time was really great and we totally enjoyed spending time with my parents and sister, and her hubby.
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico ec4stx... uncles and grandparents. It was kinda fun. His dad showed me around his grandmas house, a very very dry place in a town called Lakeside. So much drier than the coastal areas, and quite hotter (hotter is a very strange word to use though). It was Caleb's sisters birthday as well, so we celebrated with angel cake and ice cream (the angel cake had very tart candies in it, it was pretty good!). Later that evening, we went to Caleb's youth group to meet his girlfriend and other ...

"I think I'm developing a grudge against the trolley system," she laughs. The last time she rode this line, a man had a heart attack on the train, which was stuck for an hour between stops as emergency crew worked to save the man. On this night we don't have that kind of time to spare. We still have half a dozen stops before station with the airport shuttle bus top, and still a lengthy journey from there.

Tuesdays are free museum days in San Diego so today I thought I would take another trip to the lovely Balboa Park and visit some. I went on my own as I like to take in everything on my own when I am museums, plus I could sing loudly with my iPod while walking through the park to get to them. The first one I visited was the Automotive Museum, where I realized I love old cars, though I know nothing about them at all. There were replica's of one's that Marilyn ...
San Diego, California, United States amyjooinkI finally got to San D at 9am and felt a little grubby from the trip, but really was happy when I woke up on the bus there and saw sunshine. The weather there is guaranteed to be good 90% of the time and this cheered me up! Thje hostel I had booked was in the Gas Lamp Quarter and only two blocks away from the sea which upon arriving, I found was a very nice area. It is all old buildings (which I like), and seemed to be the ...
