We spent a night in Acapulco. Not a bad spot at all really. Beaches weren't bad and there was a very laid back feel. A very busy city beyond the beaches though, traffic crazy, lots of skyscraping hotels and nightlife once it gets dark. Most of their taxis are cool little volkswagon beetles. Wealth… something i've never had, and something I don’t think I will be getting any time soon. Maybe there is a bit of jealousy, but at the same time, I sometimes find it pretty annoying visiting resort based places, and observing the difference between the way I am doing things and how other people could probably blow my seven month budget in a couple of days in fancy hotels and rounds of golf.

We had a 5 hr wait in Acapulco for our overnight bus to Puerto Escondido. Both keen to see the famous cliff divers and not too sure how it would happen. But a lovely little mexican taxi driver Orlando took us under his wing and chauffeured us around for 4 hrs all for $20. 5 hour bustrip to Acapulco thismorning, after last nights effort it was all a bit difficult..

busy city, military and federal police everywhere with casual m16s

off on a boat cruise, with an open bar tonight, followed by watchin some mad pricks jump off cliffs into 6m of water, then back to an open bar for more partytime.

    it was clean , no leaks and in a lush courtyard setting. it was very quite. near the bus stop. a very old hotel thats not dilapatated. 400 pesos for two beds.
