... to parallel ski, I was taught incorrectly and more or less had to start from scratch to improve my technique, and Ioana was skiing by herself to the bottom of the beginners hill. At the end of the morning we all went up in the gondola to take some photos, and I skiied down by myself.

Brasov is beautiful. I caught the bus from the train station to the hostel and my heart skipped a beat - the sun was shining on the cobblestoned Ter (or square), which was full of locals enjoying coffee and conversation - all of this against a backdrop of mountains. I'm excited about this town.

... not in any way part of the Dracula stereotype. Not that I really expected bodies in a dungeon or anything, but gloomy cavernous rooms with bare stone walls would be more in line with my Dracula's castle ideas.
