Yesterday (Friday 9th Jan) we had another amazing breakfast - this time with Roberto and Ilaria. We spent the day with Ilaria's brother Dario and his wife Anita. While we were waiting outside to be picked up by Dario, we were saw the local baker who drives around beeping his horn and sells breads and pastries from his van. Roberto bought us a custard pastry which was delicious! We were laughing saying that it was Switzerland's equivalent of Mr Whippy. ...
... in the town again we looked for a place for dinner. All very expensive in St Moritz so we found a pub which was reasonable and had a nice dinner before walking home admiring the pretty street lights. ... so we had dogs on the train as well - very interesting. Someone was about to start smoking but no guesses as to who pointed out the "no smoking" sign so he put his smokes away (thank goodness). So another 2.5 hours and we were in Tirano. Checked in and had dinner of beef medallions (200gm steak) and mushrooms before our train ride to St Moritz tomorrow. Totally confusing town. Lots of signs heading into town. lots of exit roads on both sides of the river, but no bloody sign. As soon as I got to the centre of town the signs would disappear.
