... sad. The gear cable is fraying, the paintwork is all chipped and scratched, the handlebars are rusting and there is a hole in my
saddle. I think it is time for a new one but after doing a bit of research on
the internet, I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the different styles and the prices.

We really need to brush up on our navigation skills. We planned a walk today and within 15 minutes of starting out and some ...

... to Torbole. What I didn’t check was the change in height between the two lakes. When we started going down some very steep hills, we decided to have a look at the map. Lago di Ledro is at about 668 metres above sea level whilst Riva del Garda is at 66 metres. Pretty obviously Trafalgar don't cater for rev head ex-farmers!

... valley between mountains and as the main city of the region has numerous industries as well as a couple of universities. German is actually the main language, but most people are fluent in Italian as well, and all the road signs and street names are written in both!
We had some free time so we walked around the streets, before returning to the coach and being driven up one of the surrounding mountains to a spot where we ...

... last night!

Adam has planned a remarkable drive up through the Austrian Alps along Grossglockner Alpine Road this takes up 3760 metre up to Austria's highest peak. The drive is incredible. A toll is charged of 38 euros and you understand why when you see the condition of the 40km road that was built in the 1930's. It is only open end of May to August. The altitude makes my head head feel like it's going to explode and ...
