What is it with this area and Hollyhocks? They are flowers which are found absolutely everywhere here, almost every crack in the pavement seems to be sprouting them.

We are currently back in Spain enjoying the heat for eight nights, before we head off to Greece.

More from there in a week or so!

... drivers park anywhere; do U-turns anywhere - even in one way streets. One guy, with his front mudguard dragging along the ground, parked on the footpath and then did a 4 point turn (holding up all traffic) to go back the way he came. We seemed to be at an unofficial drop off point for the station too - which explained all the U turns on the one way street, which started just near us. I mean - who wants to ...

A very late start today after our big day yesterday. We decided that as we were so close to the Bordeaux area and had seen so many grapes growing around here that we should check out some wineries. Not wanting to actually travel into Bordeaux we went to the local TIC and got a map and suggestions and set off. The two main products in the area are Cognac and Pineau which is a bit like a sherry. We ...
