Day 35 So its the last officially day in Portugal, so we slept in and then headed away from Hotel Miram - very nice and friendly, and headed off so we were closer to Faro. Our new hotel was in the countryside outside of Faro, in the middle of nowhere. Its called quinta dos postas, it only has 16 rooms and appears to be a big spot for golfers. So we were a bit taken aback, we decided to spend the day by the pool. Now the pool was gorgeous, and to our surprise nobody else in the hotel was at it...

... firm that sold motorhomes, caravans and accessories. As we have a need for fresh supplies of exciting stuff like toilet fluid we went in search. Having driven 30 miles we found it tucked down a side street with three motorhomes, four caravans(one rusty) and one bottle of toilet fluid. Result! Following on this success we visited the walled town of Obidos that was traditionally given by the King to ...

Fátima, Estremadura, Portugal ulka... s way too salty.

Before we left the restaurant, several Sicilians tourists wanna take pictures with us. They didn't speak any English... and I was trying to ask "di dove sei".... well they didn't reply either. Anyway, after some confusion we found that they were from Sicily and we took pictures together. One old man said "Buon Viaggio" to us. Before I left, I said "Ciao Ciao, Buon Viaggio!"
Fátima, Estremadura, Portugal astreIn the morning we went to Obidos, an old castle/city. There was a medieval festival the day before (just ended the day before or we would have seen people dressed in Medieval clothings!). Because of the end of the festival, we couldn't really go anywhere. So we ended up just climbing up a wall, took ...
Obidos, Estremadura, Portugal astre... 8211; Obidos being the highlight. Obidos is an incredibly well preserved medieval walled village full of character. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

And while Lisbon was one of the nicest surprises of our travels yet, the enjoyment from the rest and relaxation along the coast was not far behind. Yes, even I was able to sit and enjoy the sun and quiet.

For more photos check out Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27086162@N 04/sets/72157621594823972/
Nazare, Estremadura, Portugal savla78... tents and Europeans dressed in designer beach etire complete with flowing shirts, sun tan oil and aviator sunglasses. There was a kids train driving around, a plane flying overhead dragging some advertising letters behind and even a stationary excercise bike class going on beach side with bad techno music blaring. There is a Copacabana pavement rip off happening and shops selling tacky souvenirs and bikinis, shell ornaments, churro donuts and ice cream. There is a bull ...
Nazare, Estremadura, Portugal inoursuitcase... she didn´t once stop singing and dancing. Our third day here wasn´t to exciting. It was cloudy out and it rained a little off and on. We walked to the harbour but there wasn´t too much happening there so we did a bit of emailing. We are off to Evora, Portugal tomorrow. Even thought the weather hasn´t been great, we both really enjoyed Nazare and would like to come back one day. The beach is huge, the town is quaint, and the people are very nice.
