Today I spent the day in Frankfurt. It was Carnival so there was lots going on downtown and there was a parade. I walked around, watched the parade and had a nice German lunch. Nancy, you will be happy to know I was wearing a full face of makeup and bright red lipstick and I got asked on a date but I politely declined. Now I am on the train headed to Berlin. So far it's quite nice. We are passing through all kinds of cute little towns and farming villages. ...

... I have ever travelled with this and that is saying something. Since the Us has a lot of really ****** airlines. After 16 hours I finally arrived in Frankfurt. I am happy to be here and enjoying a nice dinner. Tomorrow I'm going to hang out in Frankfurt then I am taking the train to Berlin tomorrow ...

... day was mostly spent reading a Frederick Forsyth book down by the river. I strolled around a bit, took pictures of the buildings and, in general, found it to be a quiet and pleasant city.

My hostel was in the official Red Light District (it's all legal and above board). I didn't pick it on purpose because of that, it just happened to be the cheapest hostel that I could find. Contrary to my expectations, it's nature didn't seem to jump out at visitors like it does ...

... In KL, this was the case, and the tickets were really well priced. Standard price was about $12 AUD and I got the student fare (using my ISIC card) which was only $5 AUD! The whole loop took over 2 hours, so well worth the price, and you can hop on/off all day. ... had just started loading people into the connector flight. We were in the second row of seats on the fifteen minute connector to Victoria. We arrived around 4:23 pm and had only been waiting a few minutes before the boys showed up for us. We were still waiting for our luggage to be unloaded.
