    ... I wanted but they had already sold out so I ended up upgrading and went for the €67 tickets that were in the main stand up towards the corner.. After we'd for these sorted we decided to put the van in the car park right by the stadium for the day and then at least when the match finished sometime after midnight we could just go straight back to the van and get away obviously realising that it was going to be fairly busy but better that than having to go ...

    As the girls had been very patient during the preceding day's long afternoon visiting with the Pahi brothers, we promised them a more exciting day. That would, however, require a lot of time in the car. Plus, as I wrote, the roads in this area are incredibly windy with constantly shifting widths and rarely any shoulders.     ... Now we had eaten late -- in my book -- in Portugal, with dinner usually around 7:30pm.
