... leads to the lake and a 30 metre long pebbled 'beach' with spectacular views of the town, lake and mountains. Back in town we go to the bakery to get some lunch. There were no meat pies at all but we got some panchetto, local soft cheese, fresh bread and a few pastries. This lunch looking out onto the lake and mountains was worth a million dollars. A beautiful 90 minute trip down the East side of the lake sees us back in Milan for a meal the girls have concocted. Before ...

... are settling for 6 weeks and having all our visitors. We know that Josy is in Inverness today, Kramers are leaving soon and spoke to Phil who is in Paris.

Tonight we had dinner at our local Café Postale. Craig had the prosciutto & melon again which wasn’t as good as in Avigliana but his Gamberiti risotto was yummy. I had beef with rocket & Parmesan – n ice also. We then walked along the waterfront again because it is so pretty. It is good to be feeling a bit ...

    Lake Como
Arrived Wednesday 6th - early morning bus (with wifi) to the airport…..easy transition to sun-drenched Milan where Jo met us in ERM and we drove with the snow-capped Alps in the distance to Cernobbio.Picked up some supplies at the local hypermarket (and had pistachio ice cream) and then "home"…..wow! Met John and Puppo and went with them on the woodland wander (about an hour) then out for dinner with Jo at Della Torre - delicious ...
