... The street vendors are aggressive and will follow you. Breakfast was ok. Simple and basic. Dinner last night was decent. The prosciutto was the best and the sand which from the street vendor was amazing! Our tour guides are great. Riccardo is hysterical and Mateo is funny but not like Ricardo. Unfortunately I'm on Mateos bus. The ferry ride is long but venice is stunning. So old and historic. But tons of tourism I'd love to come back and visit with just ...

... but there are so many people and tourists that it is hard to enjoy it. Also, the Italians keep ripping us off; taxis and even gelato. They are very negative towards us here, but in so e ways I can see how. We watch so many people at cafés and it is easy to spot an American. ... it is bucketing down. We need to cross 2 of the 400 venice bridges to get to our hotel and there are 100's of tourists travelling in the opposite direction and no one has any common sense to make way for the people lugging suitcases...... Grrrrrr!

We finally get to the hotel looking like drowned rats and of course the rooms are not ready but we expected that so we asked to leave our baggage. The concierge had proposed a complimentary trip to Murano ...

... and English. Wow! We watched a movie in French. I liked listening to the French language again. The food was always available. Buffets in the morning and at lunch. Lots of pizza any time of the day.
