One of the best things about Korean culture, similar to many other cultures, is that you always eat in a group and share the food. Korean food is almost tapas-esque, little dishes of vegetables/meat/fish and always kimchi. I don't think I like Kimchi, it tastes of tangy wet vegetable slop...willing to give it another try ...

Turns out that’s pretty much it, but the fountain also has a computerized spray above it, which could produce patterns and words with the water. ... met a Korean that went to Pheonix, AZ and he likes ice hockey. I was like sweet! New friend. haha, too bad I can't find him on FB. Then I departed the traveling party early, I was feeling sick. On my way back to the hostel, some guy nearly ran into me then started to speak very broken English. His catch phrases were " I don't know what I'm saying" and "Can I have your number" I turned him down.

... It plays excellent music tho and is always packed. They sometimes have fire dancers too. Also, bars in Korea never seem to close. I mean, it can be like 5am, and you can still go and get your dance on. There are also GREAT late night eateries where you can get tons of side dishes for free with whatever you order.

Everyone is decked out in full hiking regalia, backpacks, sticks, sun hats, etc, and when they arrive at the top of mountain (or wherever the end point is) they picnic and drink makkoli and soju to kill the pain and make the stumble back down the mountain that much more enjoyable. Everyone is happy to be out there, friendly, and always willing to share their picnics (even though you didn't ask!) There are TONS of great hiking trails throughout Korea and spring ...
