... pictures. We grabbed our lunch at the top of the hill then Ruth caught the gondola back to Birg while JJ and I took the black run off the top to Birg. This run is the steepest on the hill and is exposed to the elements so it is a good challenge. Ruth was able to watch us start the run and also to complete the high speed run out at the end. Our drive to Jungfrau campsite saw us ...

... PLACES WE ATE:
Hotel Silberhorn several times. Lunch--pork sausage with onion gravy; great french fries.
Dinner twice: Schnitzel with fries & Rosti with pears, tomatoes, raclette cheese, which was too rich; could only eat half. Spagetti bolognese (just ok)
(TIP: make reservations for dinner)

... Falls is a thundering flow of glacial meltwater which has carved its way through solid rock. The noise is huge, and the amount of water falling - and the rate it's falling at - has a real feeling of power. I'm incredibly aware I'd be crushed in an instant if I ended up in that water. I take endless photos trying to capture the feeling, but a lot of it is tied up in the sound of the falls and actually being in the rock passages ...
