... boat trip, we arrived to grab our tickets on the steepest cog wheel train in the world!!! I was a bit scared at first, but the train featured staggered seats, so it didn't feel like you were going up at a 48% incline. The ride up takes about 30 minutes and had some amazing views. The train itself is comprised of several small cars, each operating independently on the track. Once up top, we wandered around, ate our lunch and just took ...

... and caught up over the past six months.

On Tuesday, Julie and I went to the very picturesque Wimbledon Park tube station waiting for Leisa and Maki to arrive. They were a little bit late, but fair enough it was their first time in London and dealing with the tube map. After a little while, Leisa comes up the stairs and out on the street, and before we even had a chance to say anything she pipes up with 'Sorry we ...

When we arrived back to camp it was 330 and Matt and I decided to head to the station to make out paragliding appointments. I met at the cafe where I booked my appointment and was picked up by a ...

... for a hotel down there. Rather than the alpine town I anticipated it was more of a derelict hamlet, with what looked like a factory for a hotel and a run-down information centre, run by a very grumpy lady. Getting out of there quickly I began the gradual opening to the Furkapass ascent, initially bereft of views at the bottom of the Valley.

As I reached the steep snake-like ascent of ...

... trip itinerary. We needed to be at the Niesen train station the next morning at 8am so we called it a night and slept in our new home at Hotel Banhoff.

    10th July 2013.

We got ready and were at the Spiez station from where we got to the funicular station to go to the top of mount Niesen. The plan was to have breakfast on top of Mount Niesen and all this was a gift for us from ...
