... winding roads near Interlaken, arrived 12pm, checked into hotel, had cheese, bread and wine for lunch in room. View of Jungfrau Joch from our hotel. Went for a walk around Wilderswil village, back to room for a rest. Walked up into the village at the top, traditional houses here then to the Baron Hotel for dinner- Sue had a schnitzel the size of the dinner plate, Peter's first pot of Swiss beer here. The Wilderswil Hotel is lovely, traditional on the outside, modern ...

... December 9 th Arrive in Zurich and check in to your hotel. The balance of the day was spent exploring. Did not do as much as I wanted to do. I did start exploring this elegant and bustling metropolis. And shopped along the Bahnhofstrasse and that lined with posh boutiques and cafés. It was light out, since I had gone out around 2 pm but came back about 4 pm. I am sure with a little snow ,it's beautiful. Only barrier is language. They speak very little ...

I asked what was in the sauce, and normally they don't tell people, but since we are not local... what is the harm. Warm ...mustard, white wine, & cream. When hot, turn off and whisk in small pieces of cold butter. Than sit back and remember you are on vacation and can eat all the butter you want to dip ...

... and it being a Thursday it was not very crowded but it definitely gave us a glimpse as to what Germany will entail. It was cafeteria style, so you chose the amount of sausages, beers, pretzels, french fries, and potato salad you wanted...this could be deadly! It was a great break from our exploring around Lake Zurich and got us well fueled for the rest of the day. Later we walked around the lake (candid pics included) and just really enjoyed the ...

... here is pretty and the weather is better than anyone back at home is experiencing. After having a meal that was yummy with the family, Hans, Regina and myself headed into the town of Lucerne (aka Luzern). There are two ways of spelling the same town name, so I was a bit confused at first.

The town of Sempach is small yet amusing. Regina and I went for a walk to the town centre, which only took one minute to get to, lol. It isn't all that big and ...
