... ourselves directed back up the hill at the end to discover the camp was yes 1km from beach but straight up on a cliff..... Who in right minds puts a camping ground on a cliff. We arrived on Friday evening to a warm welcome from our friends Cassandra and Ian and while we sipped wine on their terrace the washing machine was very very busy. They live in a south eastern suburb of Genoa and I was impressed with the area, it had everything, supermarkets, clothes and shoe shops, fishmongers and green grocers and a very nice Italian post office run almost entirely by cheerful women. Hi everyone from beautiful Santo Stefano Belbo in the Langhe/Roero wine region of Piedmont.
