So, let’s look at some maps, compliments of Google. If we zoom in we see a sheltered harbour with breakwaters, so I guess that means boats, and shoreline waves & winds.

We set out from Tirano this morning to head south. The plan was to get to Genoa or Savona - but we had to tackle the Autostrada through Milan first. Sorry to say, no photo's today. After 7 hours walking I was ready to hop on the train home. ButI'lll be back Genoa! ...

We arrived in Santa Margherita and headed into the centre of the town to look for the bus to Portofino, we were told by a few people that campervans do not go to Portofino hence the reason for the train and bus. We found the bus stop and purchased our tickets and was told the ...

... as "picture perfect" they must have see this place first. It is better than the post card! (Which is probably a good thing, seeing as we have spent the children's inheritance to get here). We met some lovely people from Ireland on the ferry, who have a villa right near Nice, and they invite us to visit them next year, with promises of great times either in France or Ireland. The walk up to the castle is worth every step, as is the cafe at the top. Castello Brown ...
