... just a little at the side of the road, as we climbed it steadily became deeper until it was about 2 feet deep, the road was clear of snow, but narrow in places. We stopped at the top of the hill to take a photo of the remains if a row of windmills built along the ridge. The wind was strong and bitterly cold as we trampled in the snow to get a good shot. Just an occasional hail storm this morning, so we are going to drive into Heraklion the 5th largest city in Greece and the capital city of Crete. We read our books most of the afternoon as the electricity came on and went off again several times. At tea time catering made some flapjack, comfort food! Whilst we continue to sit the storm ...

... in and parked up. Electric hook up is just what is needed in storms like this, it means we can have the heating on as much as we like without flattening the batteries. There also is wifi, which we can pick up in Dream Catcher. The storm is set to stay 3 more days, with cold temperatures and
extremely high winds. Our parking spot is fairly sheltered but even so, every so often we rock about, as a gust hits ...
