      ... have no Idea which way to go. We finally find a sign pointing us in the right direction and as we first come across the beautiful scene ahead of us neither of us are in the mood for happy snaps and photos. Food is the answer to crankiness and we find a place down the road that doesn’t have a 15% cover charge on everything you buy.       ... leaning tower. Wow it certainly leans, unfortunately we were unable to get tickets as the earliest were 4pm this afternoon !!! So we did the usual hold up the tower photo's and in the soaring heat decided to leave Pisa. A quick taxi back to the hotel pick up our trusty Fiat 500 reg number ET ..... An hour later up the motorway north we arrived at our lunch spot Lerici... An amazing small port with castle overhead !!! ...

      ... Centrale for a bit more shopping. The girls have really had it with the hounding street vendors...they're learning how to not make eye contact, ha!       Today I had a tour though the Tuscan countryside. First stop was Sienna, A lovely town not far from Florence. Sienna and Florence have had many wars over the years, the last one was about 450 years ago, but rivalry between the two is still very much there. The town is divided into 17 neighbourhoods, each with its own coat of arms, as we entered each neighbourhood the guide pointed out the coat of arms displayed clearly on the walls.       ... up hill, although it was almost all easy to climb stairs. There were just a lot (yes a large lot) of them. There were a few narrow areas, but in general there were guard_rails when cliffs were nearby. Our pace was apparently slow, as many people passed us, but we were in no hurry, and still felt sore from yesterday.
