... patience). Settled in at the Fiumicino airport once again, I was calm, connected and ready for Genoa.

I wish I had more time in Genoa, or Genova depending on who/what/language you ask. I found a kebab place on my way to the hostel, checked in, ate and then had a rest. I wanted to go out and explore right away, but between the heat (33-40 C the whole time I was there), and knowing I would be out late with the concert, I decided to have a siesta. And I needed it. ...

... We were very confused because it really felt like we were driving into the middle of no where. I expected this town to be closer to Florence. Thankfully the driver and some locals on the bus were able to help us find the correct stop. This little town is beautiful and the views from the drive was exceptional. ... we are just the trend setters huh). After a bite to eat we made it in plenty of time to the train and preceded to take off for Genova. Once in a Genova we had a 25 minute layover, so nothing really of interest here except for my attempt to kill every pigeon within arms distance of me, damn rats with wings. From Genova we headed to Ventimiglia, which is the last town on the west coast of Italy before you cross into France. We got in a little late because ...

This past weekend, I went with my roommate and two other girls to Cinque Terre, the coastal region in the northern part of Italy. We left Thursday night and arrived in Florence to spend the night. We walked around and explored a bit, but found that no one would speak Italian with us. In Perugia, you never go up to an Italian and speak English, presuming they speak it too. Even if it's not going to be easy to say what you want to say, you always try in Italian. In Florence, it ...
