      ... of the coolest places we stayed in. It is called Penthouse 1004 and it is on the top floor of a block of flats right in the middle of the town. You get a great view from all rooms in the penthouse of the whole town, lake and the mountain range nearby. It is a few flats that have been connected to create the hostel. It actually has a feel of a Czech communist 'panelak’, one of the old like from like the 50’s.

      ... Came in towards Nequen and saw a lot of citrus, so must have been near an irrigated area. Then, back into the desert for the afternoon, hoping to approach Bariloche soon. Soon a large lake and more mountainous terrain, but still dry. A lot of tree farms, which I found out later were Ponderosa tree farms. Finally pulled into Bariloche around 5 pm - about 21 ...
