... the official rate to buy big bills from foreigners. Crazy. Luckily we knew about this before we entered, so we came with $400 in cash each. I wasn't sure if it was taboo or frowned upon, so we just kept pretty quiet about it and asked for the official money exchange places. But then, whaddya know? Almost every store we walked by on the main street had someone offering us "cambio, change." I guess it is not taboo in the slightest, even though it's ...

As midday approaches the mists begin to disperse and our guide explains to us that we are extremely lucky to have a day with sunshine as normally it pours with rain daily in the Autumn months.I am overjoyed as we stop beside the old hotel to see that the mist has peeled away to form a thin layer that divides both the lake and the mountains like a slab of floating white cream.Above ...

... thinking "wow that is incredibly lucky!! Good for you!" When asked what she thought of the places, the most emotive description she could muster was "oh it was alrighttt. I saw lots of fish..." It's like seeing the pyramids and saying "there was a lot of sand." At this point Ash flagged her as a ***********, this was proven true when she mentioned seeing lots of a species of fish, which are not even in that region (google told us). Anyway, I have ...

... hit a tree and take out a poor pedestrian. I was very glad to stop for lunch at this point and it was worth it. The views over the larger lake were just incredible and it was lovely and sunny! We then decided to try taking our bikes along a hiking trail going around cerro llao llao thinking that if we felt like it we could also climb the hill. The first part felt like a big mistake - steep narrow trails with frequent logs to negotiate but luckily ...
