... Lunch has to include Anna's calamari, which we swear is the best in all of Greece, accompanied by salad, and a fish speciality of the day. ... won't be difficult for John since he is retired. We joined the caretaker of the house (Sue) for an evening drink of Mythos and a plate of what they call meatballs. It looked like some kind of pulled meat pressed into a patty.....not what we think of meatballs at all. it was fried. The spices were nice and it was tasty. We really enjoyed talking with Sue. She and her family have been very generous with their time. It is much appreciaed. She has ...

... Apollo (Doric, 5th century BC). Following this Temple of Apollo, we walked through a vast agora (forum), bounded on one side by the foundations of a stoa. In the middle of the agora, there also is a central row of shops in which lies the Rostra (or bema), a marble podium from which the Roman officials addressed the people.

Walking to the far eastern side of the ruins, we saw the remains of the Julian Basilica and the Lower Peirene Fountain. According ...
