I've booked a cheap airfare online, well to be honest it was Frans, back in Schimmert, who booked it for me because every time I entered Schiphol, Amsterdam as the place I would travel from, the site reverted to dutch...with no translation to english button! I walked to her neighborhood from my hotel; about an hour walk and we had lunch at a nice neighborhood café. The weather was great and her dog enjoyed the outing as well. Then, Let made me feel like a real Amsterdam native. I borrowed her ...

... and baby geese, whose father honked menacingly as we tried to take a photo, and a stork with two babies in the nest. As I was getting excited about all the babies we were seeing, Wok reminded me that it is Spring. I have to give you some cultural information now. Before any of the above happened, after breakfast I heard a lot of noise from outside. I looked out to see the garbage truck, but their collection is like nothing like we would ever imagine.
