... the first 45 minutes. At this point we’d gotten out of the big trees and had reached the point where the trails diverged. Lightning storms were still circling around the mountain, but right below we had a marvelous view of the sea of lights that was Bali.

The climb up was pretty uneventful, and was made somewhat more difficult due to the fact that we were both exhausted from lack of sleep. It made it easier being dark, as we couldn’t ...

... Langkawi have just arrived in Yacht Haven marina in Phuket, Tony and Sangtong, Joe and Anita, and Neil sailed up a few days ago and Tony invites me onto the boat to stay with everyone. Only ****** part about it was that my laundry was now soaking wet again and I was leaving the next morning for Lake Toba which was a solid 9-10 hours of driving. Cannot wait to see what they would smell like by the time I arrived. ARG. Oh well...just have to do my favourite choir again once I got there; weather permitting.

... after she spit it back on my belly (didn't expect that) and wrapped my belly in a cloth. I don't know what medicine worked best, but I felt much better after two days so took the bus to Lake Toba. First we had to go back to Medan and there we could take the bus to Lake Toba. There was a bus directly from Bukit Lawang to the lake, but this was especially organized for tourists, so then I refuse to get on (in addition to the price that is way too high). I prefer to take ...
