... We were hoping to catch a bus to the town of Malang for a few nights. We had to be flexible on this point, as it turned out that we’d just missed it. We set off in to the jungle with a French couple and 2 guides. The guides spent some time showing us rubber trees and cocoa trees etc before we began climbing up and up and up. It was rather odd as we kept passing groups of people on treks. There seemed to be more people here than in the village. After about an hour of walking the guide indicated down a hill. ... Mina is a famous orangutan known for attacking 35 guides and 10 tourists over the years. However it wasn't Mina, but Suma who is the oldest orangutan in this part of the park at 47 years old. We filed past one at a time and again got some great shots.
