We spent 4 nights on the water in a Best Western. Our activities varied each day. The first day we started walking along the Water edge (Medetteraean) towards Cap Martin. It was lovely and warmed up as we walked until finally we saw the great Monaco in the distance. On our return, be quite famished, we got a fabulous seafood lunch on the water. The next day, Holly and Mary Anne went via bus to Monaco. They reported having a fabulous ...

The riding methodology is everyone is ready @ about 8:00am. We get a briefing on where we will ride on the day, then specifically, how to get to morning coffee. Coffee is usually either just before the morning climb or just after it. The rental bike was a 57 cm BMC Team 3 carbon with a 105 build and compact group set. ... like a top holiday spot in good weather with lots of hiking, swimming, camping options throughout the area.

Besides...who goes to an amazing canyon and only sees it by bus? We did...well no...almost.

One saving grace was a 30minute stop in cute village with an interesting patisserie.

... Portofino is a stunning little place with lots of coloured buildings lining the small harbour. The water was turquoise...picture perfect for sure. The entire town of course is completely set up for tourism. Tourism and more 'residences' of various princes and so on. Not a lifestyle we were born into thats for sure.

In Portofino we did a small walk as a group up to the church and lookout on the hill on the left hand side ...

... br> Oh...we had a pretend fridge. There was no fridge in the fridge cabinet.

Dinner was at a near by restaurant which we walked to every night. Pre ordered meals of pasta, pork and potatoes! Where is the good Italian food?? Not looking good....may have to boycott if this continues.

I went back to the hotel to crash but mum stayed out late with the 'younger folk' from the bus (the non boring people). She ...
